Hottest day of the year?
By our unofficial monitoring of the thermometer in our backyard, today was that hottest day of 2011 so far.
As far as I'm concerned, we don't need any days hotter than this.

Hope your neighbor's corn doesn't melt! That's kind of heat is typical down here. You just get used to it or (as I prefer) stay in the air conditioning. :)

Victoria -- we prefer the air conditioning also, but the corn loves hot and humid weather!
