I guess they really ARE in England...

Karen and Lily left for a tour of England last Thursday, joined by about 20 other ladies from an internet sewing forum they all frequent. We haven't heard a peep from our ladies in more than three days, but today we have evidence that they really are in London.

See the royal blue duffel at the bottom of the photo? That's Lily's bag. And the navy blue suitcase standing up at the far right? That's Karen's. At least their bags made it to England!

Here's the group across the street from the Albert Memorial, although it appears that Karen (in the center of the group) is more interested in the ornate building on the left.

This is evidently St. Paul's Cathedral, and that's Lily in the green dress and white sweater in the middle. The girls had arrived in London at 1:00 AM our time, and proceeded on this two-hour tour of London before they were allowed to settle into their hotel about six hours after arrival.

This photo was taken on Saturday, their second day in London. This shot of the group was taken in the Globe Theater during their tour of the facility and the costume collection used by the actors. Lily is in the front row, and Karen is in the back.

Fortunately for us, some of their tour companions are blogging during the tour, so we have some reassurance that our ladies actually made it, and appear to be enjoying themselves. Thanks for visiting!

  1. Are you sure they're coming back? They look like they're enjoying themselves enough that they might just stay.

  4. I'm not jealous. I'm not jealous. I'm not jealous. I. Am. Not. Jealous.

Really... I'm not. Not even a little bit. Are you convinced?

nah, didn't think so.... I can't even convince myself. Well in spite of my disgraceful state of envy, I do wish them the best. And I hope they'll take oodles of pictures to share with us all when they get home.Especially of the Jane Austen festivities!
